Services

Psychotherapy

At our first meeting, I will conduct a thorough evaluation of your psychological functioning and symptoms and obtain relevant background information to get to know you better. I will then provide you with feedback including a diagnosis (if applicable). We will collaboratively create a treatment plan and identify your therapy goals.    All subsequent sessions are 45 minutes long.  I generally meet with clients weekly or every other week.  Please note that I offer appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9 am until 3 pm.

Consultation, supervision & instruction

I offer individual consultation and supervision to graduate students and psychologists and also teach continuing education courses and workshops on topics of perinatal mental health.

Insurance & Fees

I am an in-network provider with Johns Hopkins EHP insurance plan and Lyra Health EAP.  If you have either of these plans, you are typically responsible for paying a copay or deductible amount, as determined by your insurance plan.  I ask that you verify your insurance benefits before our first appointment to estimate your financial responsibility.

If you have health coverage through any other insurance company (such as Carefirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Cigna), you can use any out-of-network benefits you may have to help pay for therapy.  I am happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf so that you can get reimbursed for therapy fees.  My current self-pay and out-of-network rates are $200 for a psychological evaluation (the initial session in a course of therapy) and $175 for subsequent psychotherapy sessions.

Payment of your copay/deductible or the standard session fee (if you are self-paying or using out-of-network benefits) is due at each session, and I accept checks, cash, or credit cards.
